in the tough side strakes that support the main wing sections of the fin. |

| The generous foot pocket
accomodates most diving boots and our improved rear strap make it easier
to fit the fins and keep them in place. Quick release buckles and "pull
to tighten" straps combine to make an excelent rear entry system. |

right shows the older 1st generation flat split fin technology, the improved
2nd generation, and the latest 3rd generation technology as used in the
Lomo Power Split Fins. Over the years the Natures Wing patented split fin
design has improved to make it more anatomically correct for the human body.
Divers cannot bend their ankle enough to keep the fin blades in perfect
parallel to obtain the maximum efficiency and thrust. Some 2nd generation
tried to improve their models by slanting the foot pocket. The 3rd generation
design improves on this idea by offering the correct blade angle. This allows
the fin to provide almost the same amount of thrust on the up stroke as
the down stroke. A big improvement over earlier less efficient designs.
